Broad Haven Beach

When I chose to leave home for 5 months to do what I've always dreamt of doing;
travel in my late teens, discover myself, meet new people, make memories,
take opportunities and experiences that presented themselves to me and to study ;) ,
I would have never guessed that I'd end up going to Wales!
I can't begin to describe how much my life has changed over the past 2 and a half months.
I type this post from my cute little flat in my University hall in England!
How ridiculous is that?
No matter how hard you try to plan everything in your life
or imagine how it would turn out,
it never does go the way you thought it would.
But what fun would it be if it did?
I'll fill you in on a secret if you haven't ever been to Wales.
Don't underestimate it.
I am so fortunate to have done a lot of traveling in my life,
so I can confidently say, it is one of the most beautiful places i've been to.
As soon as I left, there was instant nostalgia.
I'm so content that I went Broad Heaven
A small village on the coast of the South East of Wales, it is worth the trip.
I don't know if you've ever experienced this,
the feeling when you go to a place and the landscape is surreal.
As if you've stepped into a postcard.
An epiphany hits you, where you realise that the world is a beautiful place,
and you don't know why you never discovered this site earlier
but you're glad that you did;
and all you want to do is find all the spots in the world that give you this exact same feeling!
Well, that's how I felt when we explored the town in the late morning.
Some would say that there is something quite foolish about traveling Europe in the winter.
Especially for this Australian girl who is practically dysfunctional without the heater on,
 when its 23℃!
But I'm so glad that I decided to do that.
Exploring the United Kingdom on the cusp of Winter is something unique.
Britain, unlike Australia experiences all four seasons to the extreme.
As I bared the cold and ventured through the isolated beach,
I was able to appreciate the stillness in the beautifully scenery
and accept and almost enjoy the cold wind against my face.
Nesting along the beach is a trail up a winding road that descends from a hill.
My friends and I eagerly raced up the pathway to get what we dubbed 'the money shot'.
As I reached the peak of the hill,
looking around it was difficult to determine which view was the money shot.
At every angle, Broad Haven was alluring.
I can only imagine what a memorable holiday destination it would be during the summer.
Thanks for reading, all the photo's of Broad Haven were taken by me
and pictures of me taken by my friends.
