Back to School

Wearing a uniform is one of the simple pleasures I lacked to appreciate when in school.
You can definitely argue that it limits ones self-expression,
or that half the time it's one of the most unflattering pieces of clothing a child can own.
However, to shed some alternative light on it, it can appear quite sophisticated and intelligent;
and the preppy look is definitely an exciting style to experiment with.

The skirt really is the statement piece of the outfit.
This item really emphasises that plaid doesn't necessarily need to be worn as a shirt
and can be quite and interesting and unique print.
 What I also love about it, is that it sits between the waist and hips,
giving you your figure back from the deceptions of an oversized shirt.
Plaid is also the victim of being the staple print for many a school uniform
and I really do believe recreating it this way, makes it a print to be celebrated and embraced,
rather than resented.
In most cases the combination of an oversized shirt and high waisted skater skirt provide the
illusion of an "hour glass figure" (if that's what you desire)
Added some pictures of the to die for crepes I had,
also I would love to thank Divya for her help on the day :)
