Summer in Winter

It is now Autumn transitioning into Winter and as the weather is getting colder and colder, I am becoming quite nostalgic for the Summer (in the Summer, I get a similar feeling for the winter, ya can never win!) With the rest of the world feeling the Summer vibes ready to slip into their bikinis, the pouring rain is just no fun! So here are some of the basic Summer essentials combined with simple accessories to make the outfit suitable for colder days.

My everyday style would simply be a pair of tights (leggings) a cute top and a pair of either vans or converses. This outfit something that I would not normally consider wearing. But when you're fresh out of school and have to ditch the uniform, creating an outfit from the pieces in your wardrobe without repeating combinations, is an art that you have to master quite quickly. I actually ended up liking what I wore, so I thought I would share it with you.

Now if I'm being honest I love crop tops, they're so fun, cute and flirtatious, but walking around all day at University with my bare stomach exposed isn't something i'm quite comfortable with and is just not that appropriate.  However, pairing it with a high waisted skirt, does reveal a bit of skin but just the right amount to get away with ;)
Plus, this crop top is perfect for cold weather with its fitting long sleeves.

Because of the cold weather, I paired this black bandage skirt with opaque stockings which is a look that works for both casual and formal. You could wear a pair of high waisted pants if you prefer, I went with the skirt because Autumn weather can at times be unpredictable and I wanted to have all my bases covered if the sun decided to come out. This outfit is also perfect for a day to night outfit.

I love boots, they are the shoe ambassador for Autumn. Combat boots have become increasingly popular over the last couple of years, plus the added studs make them so much cooler. To dress up this outfit, just simply swap the boots with a pair of heels.

And then voilĂ  you have the perfect summer to winter look :)

As always, I will try to add some links so that you can purchase the pieces yourself.
If you'd like to look at some of my other posts, similar ones to this include my neon nail polish look, which you can see on my nails and my black bandage skirt article about the skirt I am wearing today.

I bought my shoes at Big W (Similar to Target or K-mart for 20-30 dollars) here are some similar options that I found, with varying prices to suit all budgets :) (from cheapest to most expensive)
