The Grounds of Alexandria • Animal Farm • Part 4 of 4

I've certainly never dinned at a place that was accompanied by a small baby animal farm.
I truly believe it is an asset to the Grounds.
As a place that unintentionally targets youthful attenders, the farm
attracts families, especially those with little children.
Although, whose to say even us big kids can enjoy observing their playful interaction.
Some of my favourite animals in the farm are the
lamb, the little Cria (baby llama) and the piglet.

The Grounds of Alexandria • Quirky Places • Part 3 of 4

What's so unique about the grounds is its industrial nature, the eccentric elements
and stores located in the venue.
While you're there, you will find many places like this, such as the garden,
 wishing fountain and coffee school.
Here are some images of the three cool places I found,
which were the exterior of the outdoor bathroom/restroom,  the little play room
and the inside of the flower shop; which displayed the funkiest antiques.

The Grounds of Alexandria • Food • Part 2 of 4

Food glorious Food!
What I love about the Grounds is their feel good food.
Whether it's their hard to say no treats; refreshing and innovative salads;
too cool for school breakfasts or filling lunches, there is always something to eat.

The Grounds of Alexandria • Scenery • Part 1 of 4

The Grounds of Alexandria is not just a place to eat, it is an experience.
There are so many facets about the place, that make it alluring and enchanting.
Now I must say that no one is paying me to rave about the venue,
but rather I am one who wishes people would share all their personal hidden treasures with me,
so I plan to do that. Share all the places I explore and enjoy, in the hopes that it may inspire you to go there too :)

Orange

I never appreciated the flamboyant nature of the colour orange.
In it's brightest form, it personifies a personality of its own.
One who demands attention, who's warm and friendly, and is the life of the party.

Blue • Nail Art

As the unusual raindrops trickled down, and the what was a too good to be
Spring weather transitioned into a depressing, track-suit pant wearing week,
I had to paint my nails something whimsical,  to bring a little fun back into the day

Spring

The definition of Spring is originate.
And when I visited an old and neglected childhood hideout of mine,
filled with imagination and my now nostalgia, I couldn't help but think of my childhood and all the moments that had escaped my memory.

Blue Rose

Baby blue and white is an elegant combination that I have been loving for Spring.
Plus no matter how much I invest my best efforts in to having a more mature yet youthful wardrobe,
I just can't stay away from crop tops and high waisted bottoms.
However, I feel with some great quality fabrics you can still manage to pull of
a polished look.

Hippie • Nail Art

I'm super experimental when it comes to my nails;
and although this look may not be for you, like it isn't for my mother...
I felt that these were the perfect statement to express my inner flower child.

Pretty in Punk

Who says you can’t look a little edgy and wear pink at the same time!?
To be honest I felt like I was channeling a variety of vibes. From gypsy to country to tribal to even the 60s!
Whatever this look is meant to represent, what I love is the colour.
 Too often I find myself shying away from the ‘lollypop’ colours, when I really shouldn’t;
and hopefully this should inspire you to not do so too.

Geometric

I really have become more playful when it comes to my outfits.
I'm wearing combinations of clothes that I normally wouldn't.
This doesn't mean that I'm compromising who I am;
because I am a firm believer that if you wear something you feel comfortable in,
 then you will feel confident.
Which is so much more attractive then wearing something that may look pretty on, but isn't you.

Patchwork

With the middle of Spring (here is Aus-land),
we are welcome by the ever so common cool breeze juxtaposing against the glowing sun.
And as I am frolicking around, what could be more perfect than
wearing an oversized, patchwork dress with spring appropriate floral designs.

Blue Skies

Today was another one of those really good simple days,
I went out and about, doing little tasks and once I finally exited my last destination,
I gazed across the road to see this long narrow pathway that was accompanied with a murky river,
high rise buildings and a baby boy blue sky.
Coincidently, my dress was welcomed amongst the various shades of blue,
which made for a perfect photo opportunity.

Midnight Nails

After a wild week with my Aztec Nails
I thought it would be pleasant change to go for something more sophisticated and edgy;
with a playful element.
To achieve this a quirky touch to make it unique, is a must.
And the contrast of Matte and Sparkle is a friendly and
beyond spunky surprise!

Coconut Nut bars with PB&J Topping • Vegan, Gluten Free & No Bake Recipe

This is the perfect recipe for nut lovers.
If you are looking for a treat that is fairly on the healthier side, then you have come to the right place. Admittedly, this isn't for the sweet tooth, but nevertheless still something fabulous to munch on!

Peace

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have gone to a music festival and come out alive. Not only
have I come out alive, I have also had the added honour of evolving
into a more experienced and cultured young adult. And although,
I could let my long fingers type away a theatrical description of my experience,
I will get right to the fashion!

Aztec • Nail Art

This month is going to be unimaginably hectic for me!
Today, my University is holding a music festival type of event, to celebrate its birthday.
Although, I'd like to consider myself one of those adventurous and free-spirited youths of today,
I really haven't ever been to a music festival.
But, when I think of them,
images of Gumboots (aka Wellingtons), Daisy chains, Beer cups
and tons of PRINTS appear!

Simplistically Trendy

After coming home from University,
I thought I'd take some quick snaps of the outfit I wore. Sometimes when you're out and about, being comfortable and is an essential,
I totally get it.
However it's hastla la vista to the days of looking like you just rolled out of bed
and bonjourno to the days of looking simplistically trendy.
What I love about this mantra, is that it can be so easy to achieve,
with just a little bit of effort!

Cool

Today was beautiful.
It was expected to be quite breezy, but the weather fooled us and provided us with energetic rays.
I am definitely one to embrace the weather
and so I was inspired to wear pops of colour to represent my cheerful mood.
Understandably, wearing pops of colour can be quite daunting,
but when done right, can look so good.

Jazz Concert 2013

On Sunday, I spent the whole day at rehearsals for my jazz concert which was in the evening. I truly love dancing and performing. I've been doing it all my life and some of my best memories include choreographing a dance with my cousins to Shrek's 'Karaoke Dance Party', playing Lysander in 'A Mid Summer Night's Dream' fighting Demetrius for Helena's love and coming first in Rock Eisteddfod. These are just a few of the best moments in my life.
So, here are some pictures before going on stage. Again, this isn't one of my typical post, but hopefully you enjoy this and I promise there are a ton of my usual articles to come!
Unfortunately there aren't (I don't have my hands on any) good quality pictures of the actual concert! But in all honesty, I was so proud and quite frankly in disbelief of this picture, so I thought I would share it with you all!
Here's a group photo of the loveliest and craziest girls I've ever met. Hopefully you will notice we're all wearing different coloured gloves! (which I thought was pretty cool)
Haha, I have no idea what I was doing in these pictures and although they're quite unflattering, they're the only photos I own, that show the matching shorts & gloves.
Who doesn't love a good sparkly costume?
Some great pictures with my friend Larrissa.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed this slightly different post! I would love to hear what you're passionate about in the comments!!!

Traditional

Traditional would be the last adjective used to describe myself.
Growing up, I found myself failing to identify with particular community or cultural group.
However, I quickly came to accept that it really didn't matter.
I could experience and immerse myself in traditions I wanted to.

Back to School

Wearing a uniform is one of the simple pleasures I lacked to appreciate when in school.
You can definitely argue that it limits ones self-expression,
or that half the time it's one of the most unflattering pieces of clothing a child can own.
However, to shed some alternative light on it, it can appear quite sophisticated and intelligent;
and the preppy look is definitely an exciting style to experiment with.

A Punk Rocker with Flowers Everywhere.

'Rock n' roll', edgy and a little rebellious,
when an outfit can only be described by those words
you have found my perfect wardrobe.
Now, I know the song goes "I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair"
but when I was roaming around my little shopping village,
I couldn't help but notice the flowers that warmly gated the area and so,
I decided to embrace them in my rocker outfit.

Mini Spinach & Ricotta Pies • A Super Easy Recipe

I love the combination of spinach and cheese. Lately in my attempts to be a healthier person, I have cut down on my cheese intake and sadly can't even remember the last time I had a good cheesy dish. Trust me this is not an easy task, because I was an honorary member of the 'put extra cheese on everything and anything' club. So, I thought that making these mini spinach and ricotta pies would be the perfect thing to rekindle my relationship with a beloved ingredient

Love hearts & Lollypops

What I love about this outfit, is that it's the crazy kinda cool.
It's got some serious quirky elements mixed with some trendy pieces.
It's outrageous, fun and certainly not something I would have usually put together.
There is a clear juxtaposition between its appearance
of romance and enchainment against its bubbly and youthful essence.

Silver Lining

Clouds and shadows consumed the day,
with the weather reaching a maximum of 16℃ (which I can only estimate is around 60℉)
as a summer bug I found it cold.
There was nothing enjoyable about the weather.
But as they say, 'every cloud has a silver lining' and this happened to be
strutting around the city in my Bettina Liano black & silver dress.

Double Leather?

Today was a beautiful day. Not only because I've never seen a brighter winter's day, but because I was going to have a well overdue catch up with some of my old school friends. I was determined to wear this dress today, because it's one of those flashy dresses that are acceptable to flaunt throughout the whole day.

Lime Green & Disco Pants

I find it indescribably hard to dress fashionably for the winter. I've always felt like I had to wager between practicality and trend, and I could never draw the line or compromise between the two. This meant that I was left either really cold or I looked like I was strutting around town in my pyjamas.  So I finally decided to put my foot down and was determined find those essential winter pieces that were spiced up a bit.

Apple Pie Crumb Cake Muffins • Vegan Recipe

Well I hope you all are enthusiastic about my recipe posts as I am. Lately I've discovered this hidden passion of mine to bake. You could hand me a book filled with variety of to die for recipes, but I will flick right to the baking section and get lost in a land of finger licking temptation.

Pinky's Picks • Minkpink Magic Dragon Vest/Top

It's been a while since I've done a 'Pinky's Picks', where I chose to praise an item in my wardrobe that I adore. I recently purchased this rainbow knitted top; and I'm not sure if you go through the same ritual, but as soon as I buy a piece of clothing I need to seize the first opportunity to wear it. So, when I was trying to create the perfect outfit to enhance the top, I was welcomed with a variety of ideas.  I'm sure I've mentioned Minkpink in my blog before, but I honestly love their clothes, they're a perfect representation of what my style is.

Nice Navy

Today was another one of those beautiful sunny days that were interrupted by unwelcoming bursts of wind. And for a girl, these kinds of days are some of the most difficult to dress for. When I went to the park today, I unexpectedly found a little maze, which was quite enchanting and symmetrical on each side. So, I decided to embrace my surroundings and share todays outfit with you all.
