Pinky's Picks • Steve Madden Boots

Week 1

Once Upon a time, I used to watch a show called 'Jane by Design', have any of you ever watched it? Now, I'm not sure if ever experienced that moment when your jaw drops to the floor because your not so favourite character is rocking the CUTEST pair of boots you have ever seen in your life! Now if you really are like me, you would probably proceed to Google, where you play detective and search for that item of clothing. Then to your dismay it costs like a zillion more dollars that you can ever afford.

Well one day I discovered what I feel, are the most gorgeous pair of
Steve Madden boots
They are an acquired taste and I am warning you before hand, that they are not for everybody; BUT if you are in the mood to indulge yourself or explore your edgier side then these may be the shoes for you :)

NOTE: If you like another item of clothing that I am wearing in these pictures, then click it's name and it will take you to a link, so that you can purchase it yourself :)

Now they are on the pricer side, and trust me, by no means do I spend this much on clothes usually, but they really are one of those classical pieces that you can wear almost all the time, in both seasons.

In the Summer, I've found the boots are super cute with a coulourful pair of shorts and a plain top or a summer dress.

Don't forget to click the link if you want to purchase the dress ^^

In the Winter I love paring these boots with a cute pair a tights/leggings or stockings :)

Jacket (Now I couldn't find the same light blue Denim, but this link provides one from the same brand)
Leggings

I've taken all the photo's myself and am modelling all the clothes in the pictures.

Favourite Movies

If I'm proud of anything,
it would be my unhealthy ability to recite movie quotes
whilst imitating their accents and voices in a flamboyant theatrical manner.

I am a honorary movie buff at heart,
never saying no to the opportunity of snuggling on the couch
and watching a movie for the 29384 time.

Now, I once remember in a Gossip Girl episode
where Nate asked Blair why she liked watching movies she'd already seen
and her response was, "I like knowing how things are going to turn out."
Now, I'n not sure if thats the reason why I spend endless hours watching these movies,
but more the connections I build toward the characters.
Here are my favourites,
with some of my personal commentary and slight WARNING
most of them will fall into the 'Chick Flick/ Rom-Com' category ;)

11. Like Crazy

I unexpectedly enjoyed this movie
and found my self recommending it to everyone I know.
Exploring the detriments and excitements of a long distance relationship,
this 2011 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winning film
 is completely honest and captivating.
To my disbelief, an overwhelming amount of the film was improvised.
I urge all of you to check it out.

10. If Only

It makes me cry every time.
Explaining this movie without giving too much away is a challenge.
So let me leave you with this question,
if you had a day to live or it was the last day of the one you loved,
 what would you do?
Would you try and prevent their death,
or maybe admit it and make the most of it.

9. White Chicks
"Oh, No You Didn't!"
Haha, this movie is such a good laugh!
2 Cops, on screen and off screen brothers
undergo and extreme makeover to protect their jobs and solve a crime.
This movie is absolutely hilarious and very clever.

8. Big Fat Liar
Another Amanda Bynes movie with Malcolm in the Middle's very own Frankie Muniz;
Big Fat liar is a story of a fibbing school boy,
who tries to redeem his fathers trust,
by proving that a director did honestly steal his paper titled 'Big Fat Liar'
to turn it into a film.
Although this movie is aimed at entertaining the younger adolescent audience,
it's still a good watch when your trying to revisit your childhood.

7. Little Manhattan.

Most girls want a boy to confess his love to her through that grand gesture.
10 year old Gabe does just that.
When falling in love with Rosemary Telesco,
Gabe exposes the ups and downs of ones first love.
This heartwarming movie will have 'aww'ing all the way though.

6. What A Girl Wants

Who doesn't love a bit of Amanda Bynes & Collin Firth?
A free spirited 17 year old feels incomplete not knowing her father.
Fleeing to the land of the BRITISH, in attempt to find her father,
Daphne Reynolds receives more than she bargains for.

5. Something Borrowed

Never in my life would I ever support an affair.
Something Borrowed challenges my stubborn nature,
with characters who are overwhelmingly loveable,
especially John Krasinski as Ethan.

4. A Cinderella Story

An amazing modern adaptation on my favourite disney princess,
Cinderella.
Plus, Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray are in it,
if that's not already enough incentive to watch it.

3. The Notebook

Does this movie even need an explanation!?
Rachel McAdams, my all time favourite actress & Ryan Gosling
provide us with what is the worlds favourite romantic movie!
Don't forget your tissues! :(

2. She's The Man

Okay so that picture might not give you an indication of what its about..
but I had to.
"When my eyes are closed I see you for what you truly are, which is UGLY!"
Well as you can see Amanda Bynes seems to be reoccurring in my list of fav movies.
This one is a classic!
Inspired by Shakespeare's Twelfth Night,
the stories explores a girl disguising as her twin brother
to prove that girls can do anything boys can and maybe even do it better.
This movie has some of the best lines to quote.
The love triangle, more like love hexagon will keep you on your toes.
You honestly build a connect towards Sebastian (Viola pretending to be her brother)
that it ends up being somewhat saddening
when she transitions back into her normal self.

1. Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging
This movie.
Let me just tell you, by no means do I say that this is the worlds best movie,
however it is my favourite.
When I was 14 this movie spoke to me in so many ways.
As all of my friends will tell you, I am in love with all things British!
Apart from the obvious eye candy and brilliant sound track,
Georgia is an individual, which any teenage girl can relate to.
Now in my mid/late teens I look back at this movie fondly
and appreciate it for what it is.
It doesn't have the most cleaver story line
or the most inventive cinematic techniques,
but it will always be MY favourite movie.

I'd love to hear what would make your top ten? I added a cheeky bonus 11th one :S
